About Kashmir
Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam sit within three hours of each other, which makes it the least driving for the most mountain anywhere in India.
A houseboat on Dal Lake is the cliché and still worth one night, though the better sleep is usually on shore. Gulmarg has the gondola and, in January and February, genuine skiing. Tulip season is a fortnight long and moves every year.
