About Mauritius
The easiest Indian Ocean island to fill a week on, because there is something to do on the days you do not want the beach.
The whole island is ringed by reef, so the water is flat almost everywhere. The north is busy and good value, the east is windier and quieter, the west has the sunsets and the dolphins. Chamarel and Black River Gorges give you two days inland that are worth taking.

- The seven-coloured earths and waterfall at Chamarel
- Catamaran to Île aux Cerfs on the east coast
