About this trip
Anniversary trips do not need an itinerary. They need one very good room, a short flight and one evening arranged properly.
This package stays in one place for all five nights on the Bukit peninsula, where the cliffs drop straight into the Indian Ocean and the sunsets do most of the work.
Tell us the date and we build the week backwards from it, so the chef’s table dinner never lands on a travel day.

Arrive and settle
Denpasar to the Bukit is around forty minutes. Check in, then a very deliberate first evening on the villa terrace with the sun going down in front of you.

Spa afternoon
Morning by the pool. A two-hour couples ritual in the afternoon — oil massage, a soak and an hour on the loungers afterwards that nobody interrupts.

The evening
Open all day. At sunset, a chef’s table set for two on a private terrace — a tasting menu built around what came in that morning, served course by course as the light goes.

Sea temple at sunset
A slow day, then the drive along the cliff to the sea temple for the kecak performance. It starts as the sun drops and finishes in the dark.

Nothing at all

Before you book
Important information
- Prices are per couple on twin sharing and are indicative — final pricing is confirmed against live availability for your dates.
- Peak periods (Christmas, New Year and long weekends) carry a mandatory gala dinner supplement set by the property.
- Hotels listed are the properties we normally book. If one is unavailable we substitute a comparable alternative and tell you before you pay.
- Standard check-in is 2pm and checkout is 11am. Early check-in and late checkout are requested but never guaranteed.
- Carry a valid photo ID for every traveller. International trips need a passport valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
- The chef’s table is scheduled for the date you nominate. Tell us at booking rather than on arrival — the terrace takes one couple per evening.
- The path to the cove below the property is steep and closed at high tide. There is a shuttle for guests who would rather not walk it.

Can the dinner be a surprise?
Yes, and it often is. We correspond with one nominated email address only and brief the property directly so nothing appears on a shared itinerary.
Is five nights in one place too long?
For an anniversary, rarely. If you would prefer some variety we can move two nights to Ubud without changing the price much.

Best time to visit Bali
April to October. The dry season brings warm days, low humidity and clear sunsets over the Indian Ocean. November to March is wetter but greener, with rain that usually arrives in the afternoon and clears by evening.
